The Sensus ViscoElastic Memory Topper Foam Mattress pongs a bit when you first open it but the smell soon dissappears after a day or two, so don’t let that put you off. The topper is made from ViscoElastic which has very similar qualities to most memory foam products such as TempurPedic. However the manufacturers claim that it is in fact superior to similar products because of the special way that it has been made using special vacuum forming. What the exact difference is I’m not sure.
As with all topper mattresses all you need do is put it on top of your original mattress. This is a great way to save forking out for a brand new mattress, because the ViscoElastic Memory Topper is a fraction of the price of a full memory foam mattress. However if your mattress is old then a topper might not be enough to bring it back to life. Instead a memory foam topper should be used on a good quality mattress to provide that extra bit of comfort, particularly if you find you current mattress a little too firm.
